Strategic Communications Institute

Strategic Communications
November 10, 2021, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm ET

The water sector is having a moment. More people are paying attention to water supply and infrastructure issues, the importance of water to thriving communities, and the opportunities to shape a more equitable water future. To seize this moment, the sector needs to focus on telling compelling stories and make sure it is communicating with all audiences—from grassroots-level community organizations to policymakers in Washington, DC.

This Leadership Institute is designed for people in decision-making positions for an organization’s communications. It will offer attendees the opportunity to review best practices for strategic communications for their organizations and to network with peers from across the country.

During the institute, we will:
  • Review the most recent and relevant public opinion message testing on perceptions of water and how to make the water sector a more appealing place to work for under-represented communities.
  • Hear from best-in-class leaders and communicators in the water sector about their strategies for making the case for water right now.
  • Share strategies and tactics for building compelling communications plans.
One Water Leadership Institutes are free of charge for US Water Alliance Members. Only one person from the same organization can attend each Institute. Space is limited; register soon to reserve your spot!
