In order to meet 21st century challenges for water quality and quantity issues, innovations are needed. Water must be managed as one resource requiring an integrated approach with collaboration amongst multiple audiences. The U.S. Water Prize was created by the U.S. Water Alliance to recognize, promote and celebrate those cities, individuals, and organizations that are modeling the innovations. Prize winners are shining stars – advancing sustainable solutions with holistic, watershed-based approaches. Brown and Caldwell, Veolia North America, CH2M HILL, MWH, Pirnie/ARCADIS, CDM Smith, and HDR are among the proud sponsors of the 2012 U.S. Water Prize.
